The first World Congress on Engineering Asset Management (WCEAM) was held in Brisbane Australia in 2006. The annual congress is an important forum for exchange of information on recent advances in this growing field of research and practical solutions. The annual congress has contributed significantly to the fact that engineering asset management has matured into a professional practice. The 10th WCEAM congress slogan “Keep and Grow value” emphasizes that considerations on asset life cycle and economic value are an important part of overall engineering asset management.
